Pilates
I am Zoe Ruddock, a Kingston based STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor in Mat and Reformer and trained in Cadillac, Chair and Barrel. I also have experience with a range of clients' special needs including cancer, multiple sclerosis, pre natal and scoliosis. I can work in conjunction with physiotherapists and other experts to ensure rehabilitation from illness and injury.
Before any real benefit can be derived from physical exercises, one must first learn how to breath properly. Our very life depends on it.

Currently I work at Boomerang Pilates studios at Sandycombe Road, Kew and David Lloyd in Kensington where I teach reformer classes and equipment based individual sessions. I'm also happy to visit clients at home or arrange alternative locations at your convenience - although I mainly work in South West London and the Kingston area. Please phone me on 07810 318395 or email info@breathepilates.co.uk to arrange an initial appointment and to discuss pricing.
Patience and Persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavour.

My Biography
I originally trained as a dancer at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance - where I first discovered Pilates. Over time my career moved away from the arts and I worked as a journalist, an award winning advertising copy writer and a new media and business consultant in London and Sydney.
A cancer diagnosis in 2005 and subsequent surgery and chemoradiation left my body needing some serious help so I rediscovered Pilates. The results were profound. Then, just when I was deciding that I needed a career change, a chance meeting bore the suggestion that I train as an Instructor. The rest is history! I am passionate about working with people with similar experiences and the importance of Pilates in rehabilitation as well as an ongoing fitness programme.
I love all sorts of exercise and used to practise the Brazilian sport of Capoeira as well as dance. These days I enjoy yoga, karate and running to complement my pilates training.
With body, mind, and spirit functioning perfectly as a coordinated whole, what else could reasonably be expected other than an active, alert, disciplined person.

Why STOTT PILATES?
I chose STOTT PILATES to train with as they place such a high value on education, passion, integrity and quality. I think that this is essential when people trust you to help them train. Pilates is not about fashion or the latest fad, it's about good, credible training to achieve the results that you want, in the safest, most appropriate way for you. As a STOTT PILATES instructor I am required to have a comprehensive understanding of anatomy; undergo intensive training through courses, observation, practise teaching and physical review; as well as taking practical and theory exams. I am constantly growing my teaching repertoire through workshops and continuing education.
